Process Control Engineer 3

JOB TYPE:

W2 Full Time

12-month contract-option to go internal

LOCATION:

Peoria, IL

JOB SUMMARY FOR PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEER 3:

• Seeking a Process Control Engineer 3 for a manufacturing client based out of Peoria, IL
• Onsite 5days/week M-F/ 8am-5pm
• Pay Range: $38.31-$42.44

RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEER 3:

Support and develop drivetrain suppliers as assigned to meet Caterpillar quality requirements

- Conduct supplier audits (QCLDM, QMS, PCN, CAV, BIQ etc.) for supplier selection and drive corrective actions.

- Collaborate with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes (foundry audits; machining audits ) capability.

- Lead APQP (CPPD, PPAP, FMEA, ) and support sourcing council for NPI/NSI project.

- Applying quality tools (e.g., 8D, SPC, FMEA, BIQ ) for root cause analysis and corrective actions.

- Conduct supplier rough capacity capability planning (RCCP) and find gaps on supplier capacity.

- Develop and execute improvement plans to elevate supplier capabilities to meet Supplier Excellence Recognition.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEER 3:

• Bachelor's in Engineering degree preferred, Mechanical, Industrial, and Supply Chain Engineer degrees will be accepted.
• 5 or more years’ experience required
• manufacturing processes and experience
• identify different types of part- casting, forging, fabrication of sheet metal
• understanding quality process APQP, process control, part development
• understanding supply chain and material flow

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEER 3:

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and computer-generated reports, GD&T
• 3D modeling or Creo experience
• Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Excel
• PowerBi
• Root Cause Analysis
